Another side project: Future Exported

If you have some time, check out Future Exported. It is something I started thinking about after watching The Omega Man and A Scanner Darkly. It was then perpetuated by Year Zero and World War Z. I don't receive many new transmissions these days, but check back every month or so.

This has me thinking though... what other media do you like that has the "dark future" theme? Brazil? Mad Max? _____ ? Let me know.

Big ideas

I had big ideas for the Siafu Collective, but haven't had time to impliment any of them. Sorry. Who am I talking to? We have no readers.

Anyway, if you are reading this, thanks to OPB for this link. I used it as the basis of a speech I gave to my local Toastmasters International club. Zombies are awesome.

I am listening to Ghosts I-IV, the new NIN album, right now. I like it. I don't quite understand why it they labeled the four volumes with roman numerals and the thirty-six tracks with roman numerals as well. That's my only complaint.

Grape pop hair cut

I don't have much to say other than I just got back from a business trip turned vacation in Vegas. Nothing quite like Vegas--- daily hangovers, mexicans handing out cards with naked girls with stars over their naughty bits, and private dances with 2 lovely ladies paid for by your girlfriend... Ya, she's a keeper =)

Incidentally, I won't be drinking again until things stop coming out black.... lol.

Coincidence?

A few days after creating this blog, I was reading World War Z and found that Max Brooks included a reference to Siafu as another name for the Zombie hoard. It makes a lot of sense. Maybe that is part of my facination with the ants.

Siafu

So, I watched a documentary on the discovery channel the other day called "Killer Ants". There was a large segment devoted to Siafu, or driver ants. I needed a name for this blog, so there you go.

I am planning to invite a few people to post, so we'll see what happens.
